In 2017, the committee organized a delightful BBQ gathering at Preston Park, where Sudanese women and children came together for a day of fun and socializing. Laughter filled the air as children played joyfully, while everyone enjoyed delicious food. It was a heartwarming occasion, strengthening bonds within the community and creating cherished memories for all who attended.

Professor Osman Khalafallah Saeed Taha is a distinguished figure, serving as both a professor and the Dean of Wad Medani College for Medical Sciences and Technology. With extensive expertise in gastroenterology and clinical medicine, he has made significant contributions to the medical field over the past 30 years. As a graduate of a British university and a member of various medical committees, he is actively involved in postgraduate training and examinations. Additionally, he runs a private gastroenterology clinic alongside his academic responsibilities.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the Sudanese Women and Children Association hosted an event featuring valuable lectures on mental health and coping strategies for women. The event included a highly informative and beneficial talk by mental health consultant Dr. Yassin Al-Gaddal Psychiatry Consultant In Britain, Sudan and the former Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Former postgraduate professor at the University of Liverpool. Expert in developing self-skills and training in the field of leadership and excellence. Dr. Al-Gaddal addressed the effects of war in Sudan and its impact on mental health, offering practical advice on coping mechanisms. The engaging interaction between Dr. Al-Gaddal and the attendees had a significant positive psychological impact, benefiting all participants. The event concluded with a relaxation exercise led by Dr. Al-Gaddal, which was well-received and deemed both comfortable and beneficial by all in attendance.
